Alex Borst was born and raised in Gaylord, Michigan, and has spent much of his life in Northern Michigan. He has strong ties to the Petoskey and Boyne City areas through work, school and family, and looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients throughout the community.

Alex earned his associate degree from North Central Michigan College in Petoskey before earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Lake Superior State University. He later earned his MBA from Grand Valley State University.

Alex believes in developing genuine relationships with his clients and taking the time to understand their individual goals, needs, and circumstances. He takes a planning-first approach, helping clients make informed decisions regarding their financial and insurance needs.

Alex holds his SIE, Series 6, and Series 63 securities registrations, as well as licenses for life and annuity products.

Outside of work, Alex is a passionate sports fan, particularly Michigan football and basketball, as well as the Detroit Tigers. He enjoys hunting, especially deer and small game hunting, and has spent many years enjoying the outdoors in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He also enjoys traveling, golfing, lifting weights, trying new restaurants, playing video games, spending time with family and friends, and collecting coins.
